Do bees like olive trees? More than you might think.

A recent publication in Acta Horticulturae explored an intriguing question:

Can honey bees play a role in olive ecosystems, even though the olive tree (Olea europaea) is traditionally considered a wind-pollinated species?

The preliminary findings suggest that honey bees actively visit olive flowers to collect pollen and frequently move between inflorescences — potentially contributing to pollination dynamics within olive groves.
